Perfect Peace

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.” Isaiah 26:3

Today as I received one tidbit of sad, bad, and mad information; then another, then another….I wondered why I was so at peace.  Where was my typical hysteria?  Where was the worry that usually jumps me and wrestles me to the ground, pinning me in the first round?  Maybe I am growing some spiritual muscle in that area and God is getting the victory.  (Now maybe I will need to worry about what Satan has in store for me next).

On a more serious note, some of that information regards my precious older sister, Karen.  She’s been in the hospital in Kentucky receiving her own tidbits of frightening information from her doctors, and I am in Florida, physically unable to go be by her bedside.  Yet, I have a quiet peace dwelling upon me.

Father, thank You that you are near us and totally worthy of our trust in this situation today! And I ask that You take good care of Karen.  In Jesus name,  Amen.
